I settled for a partially filled Whitman album a couple of months ago. At the same time an empty Dansco went for over $100 on ebay. Too much for me!

Great pick! We will require pictures, though.

Quote: Cool, what album number is it? It's number 7210. I'll post some photos once I get it and put some coins in it. I should be able to fill maybe 15 holes in it to start with.

I have one of the Canada 7210 type albums. I would love to find some pages for the newer varieties as mine only goes to 1968. I saw one at a LCS that was full and went to the modern coins so I know they are around. It was complete and nice price on it also.
So I guess you know how long I've had it. And my Charlton is about that old as a couple other Canadian coin books. I would love to buy at there prices

The album arrived today. It must be an older album because it only goes through George VI.
The album was in pretty good shape although a small chunk of the second page was torn out at the binding and the other two pages were pretty worn in that same spot, so I repaired all three pages with vinyl tape.
I'll post pictures once I get to my safe deposit box and pick out some pieces to begin. This is going to be a major challenge, even without any Elizabeth II pieces. The 1947 ML fifty cents and dollar will be big ticket items as will the 1911 Godless fifty cents, in halfway decent condition, if I can even find one.

Yeah, I've got to get on this project. I'll try to get to my safe deposit box this weekend to pick out some coins to get it started. I kind of forgot about collecting for a while....

Still haven't gotten around to getting photos. I have to borrow my other half's digital camera to get them. So far I have placed 17 pieces in it. I can fill all of the ten cents and silver five cents but to do that I would have to remove them from their respective albums, and I'm not sure if I want to do that.
Here's what's in it so far:
Victoria
1876-H Victoria Large Cent - AU 1892 Twenty-Five Cents - VF 1898 Fifty Cents - VF
Edward VII
1902 Large Cent - AU Brown with trace of red 1910 Twenty-Five Cents - AU (former PCGS AU50) 1908 Fifty Cents - VF
George V
1916 Large Cent - MS red brown 1925 Small Cent - AU red brown 1928 Five Cents - MS (former ICCS MS63) 1929 Twenty-Five Cents - XF/AU 1917 Fifty Cents - XF
George VI
1942 Small Cent - AU red brown 1941 Five Cents - AU (former PCGS AU58) 1942 Five Cents Tombac - MS 1945 Five Cents Steel - Gem MS 1951 Five Cents Steel - MS 1937 Twenty-Five Cents - AU colorfully toned 1938 Fifty Cents - AU 1951 Fifty Cents - MS colorfully toned (former ICCS MS64)

Coinaddict,
Great job so far on that Dansco. I have a 1925 Geo V cent RB with some luster AU+ and was curious about what they are selling for. Not to be nosey just curious.
Thanks Gary

Good question about the cost of an AU 1925 cent. I couldn't tell you really. Coins and Canada has an AU50 listed at $230 and MS60 at $690, so somewhere in there I suppose. I found mine on ebay for quite a bit less than AU50 money. I like wood grain toning whereas most people don't so I think that it had something to do with the reasonable price. Here's a photo:

Thanks Coinaddict,
I have seen the straited ones also, especially on the Lincoln cents and Canadian large cents. Some like and others dont. Mine is all r/b with luster in the edges in the spots that you dont touch normally. Nice set you have going. I still have to get some Victoria coins and some odd one of the newer series. Since my book only goes to 1968, I dont need to many. Unless I can find th 2 or 3 pages I'm missing. If I can get my posts up I may have some to swap for my needs.
