I'm going to have to look for that 200 dinara note with the piano on it. Very cool note. to CCF, orangestorm87! edit: I just did some shopping for that 200 dinara note and I may have to hold off on that for a while...

If anyone is confused by certain designs on (later) Yugoslavian banknotes or coins, this might interest you. There are many more monuments like this scattered across ex-Yugoslavia states, but those are I think the major ones. https://thedancingrest.com/2013/11/...-yugoslavia/

Big fan of Yugoslavian notes, this one's from 1929. "Serbia" is seated with Belgrade behind her. On the other side is man in traditional garb, leaning on the shield with harvest fruits & sailing boats. The watermark has Alexander 1 The artwork on this is beautiful I think.

Recently picked up a 100 (1929) and 1000 dinara (1931). Can't get my scanner to cover it.

[quote[Can't get my scanner to cover it.[/quote] Lately I've just been taking photos with my iPhone. It ends up cutting a few steps out of the photo upload process for me and ends up with a "good enough" photo for my CCF uploads. @Scots - I saw the "II.1985" on your note and got confused for a moment.

Yes, @CelticKnot, it's easy to look at it & think wait a minute, it's not that old. I mistakenly picked up a tatty old Belgian note after seeing 88' on it and thought wow must be 1888. It was 1988 I'll post a pic in 'ugly banknotes' thread

10 Dinara from 1968 P82 - but not sure if it's a (small SN), b (large SN), or c (with security thread). P82a &b don't have a security threat while c has one. It's probably c but I only see a very faint line on the reverse (to the left).

@walk2dwater, I just posted almost the same note (slightly different year) in the replacement notes thread. Good choice.

Quote: I just posted almost the same note (slightly different year) in the replacement notes thread. -As they would say up here in La Belle Province, "Les Genie sur recontre au summit" (the geniuses meet at the summit/which is an idiomatic expression like "great minds think alike") Only difference is- you reached the summit with your note -while with mine I'm still boiling snow in my tent at Camp 3...
