Here was a nice find -- a 1940 stock for Pathe Film Corp.

Very nice! Thanks for posting.

Such artistry! I'm a big fan of allegory, so I find vignettes such as the one on this certificate (and many of the others in this thread) very appealing.

Not as cool as the allegorical scenes that have been displayed, but here's a certificate with a bald eagle vignette that fits the theme of the "movie industry."

Cinerama, Inc. pioneered the wide-screen, three-camera/projector format that was introduced as "Cinerama" back in 1952 via the movie This Is Cinerama. The technology offered a 146 degree view on a special-built curved screen

Nice example!

The additional commentary is always a value add.

I recall seeing movies in the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood in the 1980s. Not sure if it's still operating today. It was kind of the IMAX of its day.

This one has been a puzzle for me for many years. If the vignette is any indicator, AMT Corp was some sort of theatre or performing arts business. It was incorporated in 1961 according to the company seal. If anyone can provide some background, I'm all ears!

It's been a long time since I've found something new for this collection, but this arrived last week. Not issued and not engraved, but it's from my old home state of Michigan, so how could I resist?

At the beginning of this thread I posted a stock certificate for Lowe's Theatres. Here is a more recent bond that Lowe's issued in the 1980s. The vignette depicts Lowe's Jersey Theatre in Jersey City.

Found another one in an odd section of my many bulky albums. This may be my only Puerto Rican stock. Although it is marked "Specimen" I believe that was typed on by the theatre company, rather than the printer. In this case, I think they wanted to keep the #1 certificate on file.

A new cinema bond! Carolco was a big name back in the 1980s, producing films that included Terminator 2, the first three Rambo movies, and Field of Dreams. Looking at the vignette I had to laugh -- it has a serious design flaw. The female figure should be holding something, maybe a torch or a rod. But the engraver chose to remove it, so now her hand is empty and she looks to be hitchhiking!
