These images suggest Questionable Color as in someone tried to add some color or re-color it.
I agree it looks to be in high AU condition.

I'd say AU-55. I don't think the color looks original.

Color appears fine in this new obverse shot. Reverse shows some Woodie effect which might affect the obverse a bit. Just seems lightly circulated and then put aside long ago. Bit of ED on obverse, not choice for grade.

I am not able to confirm the authenticity of this coin due to the placement of the MM it is not matching any know die state. the left side of the 'S' is not lining up correctly. it could be due to the photo is not exactly straight on throwing off the angle. anyone else?   Edited by panzaldi

Actually, I think the mintmark position looks pretty good for obverse #4. The S looks tilted slightly right, but that might be just lighting. It would be certainly be worth sending it in for authentication, if not for grading.  |
