That toning makes it difficult to judge surfaces. Based on the way you phrased this, it sounds like it received a numerical grade. Was going to say UNC Details QC. MS-63 if it straight graded.

Out of my comfort zone, but since this is an "all skate" AU-55/58...

Looks mint state and the minimal marks are consistent with a 64 grade. The spotty toning is colorful but doesn't look entirely natural. I wouldn't be surprised by a "MS Details, Questionable Toning" judgment.

This one is too hard for me. With the heavy toning it is hard to distinguish striking weakness from minimal wear. I'll cover both bases and say either 55-58 or 64-65.

I know the answer so I'll hush. I'll just say I'm not a fan of their opinion.

Thanks, GrapeCollects. Do you think it is too high or too low? Or that it should have been given a "details" holder?

It's hard to see any wear through the toning, so I'll say MS-65, but there appear to be some circulation marks that might drag it down to AU-58.

under that toning there are multiple scratches, most on the obverse. MS63

Here it is! By the way, is PCGS inconsistent on coins of "questionable color?" Or what saves this from the "MS Details" designation?

Now that it's been revealed, I personally grade this AU Details Artificially Toned. I don't think this is MS, nor do I think NT.

For as tight as they can be at times with QC and AT, makes you wonder what they saw in hand with the color on this. Agreed with possible AT, I figured minimum QC. I wouldn't disagree with MS-62(obviously, I called it a 63). Also wouldn't have been surprised by AU-58 .

If you average my two guesses, I came pretty close. . Actually, I wasn't as bothered by the colorful toning.
