I do not know exact from where come. We have two distinct colors which by the photos(in real must be different) go to the toning colors. My guess it is the coin sit on the old coins Library Book done in New York.

@Coop consumer plastics didn't become common until the 60s, so certainly would not have been issued in cello wrap.

Thanks for replying everyone, thought I was crazy for buying a toned coin but it's still got a shine to it that does make the tone hard to capture in the same way twice. I tried my best with the quick photos while it was out to replace the old 2x2 it was in. Also didn't even think about it being semi-key because I was focused on the beautiful look of the coin , haha , whoops.

It is a nice coin. Damage do not have full stairs. What fascinate me it is the design in the front between the columns. I look at mines and do not have one like this.

I've never had a BU coin turn colors on a 2X2. On the soft plastic flips, they have PVC on them. So don't use them for BU coins. I've had BU coin turn in albums also. So they are not safe, even Dansco's.

Not sure coop, that's just what it was in when I bought it. I like using coin capsule though when I can. To me the only downside is not being able to write on the capsules.

This it is a BU coin. Put in caps it is a wise thing to do if you clean any contaminant before.

I'm sorry , I guess I'm confused on how it's considered BU ? I know it has some damage, but wouldn't that make it not BU?

More of the coloring considered, rather than the damage. That is what we are considering as BU.
