Did he donate it? The Bank of Canada Museum only mentions that it acquired it, which to me sounds like it cost some money.

The OP said that he donated the collection in the first sentence. No idea if that's accurate or not.

Perhaps there is some legal reason they said it was acquired rather than donated.  |

Receiving a donation is a form of acquisition. Maybe they picked more neutral wording for privacy reasons? Or maybe the AI that wrote the press release selected some unusual words. =P

The Passion, Fun, hard work and money spent that went into collecting and building the finest examples of toonies that exist only to donate them to the Bank of Canada Museum speaks volumes about who Jaime is.
