@ Benutzer to the CCF I'm suspicious of you dropping in as a new member at the end of this contest, and will be keeping a good eye on your behaviors. I did edit out an unauthorized URL you had included in your first post. Please don't do that again.

That concludes the awarding of the Main Event prizesToday, we'll award the two participation prizes. From the contest rules: "There will be two Participation Prizes. Players are eligible to enter into a random drawing for one of the participation prizes (at the conclusion of the contest) if they have participated in at least 8 rounds of guesses including the final 5 rounds." The participation prizes are my Sergeant of Time clocks. By my accounting there are 20 players eligible for a participation prize. I have listed your forum names in random order and assigned each of you a unique number in the range of 1 to 20. The listing looks like this:
Player Number
CoinForMe 1
joshu-a 2
HondoB 3
I6609 4
Marv65 5
mcshilling 6
Spence 7
Chase007 8
Keith67 9
ttkoo 10
bill069 11
igwt79 12
Dearborn 13
jason39305 14
jbuck 15
loonielewy 16
mrwhatisit 17
nfine 18
triggersmob 19
BStrauss3 20
I ask that everyone check me and be sure I have not made a mistake on this. If you feel you meet the criteria and are not included in the listing now is the time to say so!I will award the Participation Prizes this afternoon by generating and showing two unique random numbers from the range of 1 to 20. The two players whose assigned number above corresponds to each of the generated random numbers will each be awarded a participation prize. The Participation Prize Drawing will Occur this Afternoon

An amazing competition, nickelsearcher. Thank you so much, it was a lot of fun, and it got the grey matter all fired up trying to use some semblance of logic to try and get close ( sadly, none of that helped!). Great job Petespockets55, well done, and also good job Zurie and halfamind. You have all picked up some great examples of nickelsearchers' rare talents. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to the 30,000th post!

We were just going to allow you enough time to make more prizes and acquire more nickels.
I'm thinking a 55 gallon drum, a 1963 Bel Air, a 1950s Phone Booth, you know, common objects everybody can relate to.

I did my best to find 'common everyday objects' to show the scale of the open nickel containers. I'll take any suggestion you have to offer for the objects whenever I approach my 20K contest. How is your 10K contest prize box serving you? I hope you are still enjoying it!

Participation Prize Drawing
Now is the time to award the two participation prizes.
By the rules:
"All players eligible for the participation prizes will be listed by me in an Excel spread sheet and a unique number assigned to their name in the range of 1 to n, with n being the number of eligible players.
I will then ask a non-eligible moderator to draw two random numbers from the range of 1 to n and post them in the contest thread. The players whose pre-assigned numbers correspond to the moderator drawn random numbers will be awarded the participation prizes."
I've shown all 20 of you above with a unique number.
A slight problem that I have now is that none of the 3 moderator players made the podium - unlike my 10K contest where jbuck was a podium winner and non-eligible for a participation prize.
I'm asking that you consider me as a non-eligible moderator - and I'll generate the 2 random numbers.
If I host a 20K contest I will make this change in the rules.
Stand by for the random number results:

Random Number ResultsInput criteria was two unique integer numbers in the range from 1 to 20 with no duplicates. And the result is: The Participation Prize winners are 16 and 3. So, referring back a page to the random name assignments I find: 16 is loonielewy - Congratulations! I now need to figure out shipping to a Canuck friend. I suspect that Keith now has ammunition to compare contest prize sizes - just saying. 3 is HondoB - Congratulations! I've always enjoyed your valuable contributions to the forum - and pleased that you'll get to enjoy one of my handmade items. You both need to send me via the CCF email function your mailing address. In Looney case, I need any special instructions for getting a smallish package across the border to you. I'm keeping this contest open until the prizes are conformed as delivered. Thank you all for participating in my contest. I've enjoyed sharing it with you.
