I "found" one early one morning about two weeks ago while skating on ebay. BIN, long time Seller in the mid-West w/100% pos feedback. Paid 100$ shipped. Received it in 3 days. Turned out to be a very nice coin probably 63/64 quality. Did I pay too much? Probably. It sorta goes with the old saying of "I wished I had a dollar for every coin I paid too much for as I'd be a rich man!" So, my search is over. |

Just picked up 2 more boxes of circulated quarters. Let the fun begin (again)!

I have found none yet. Here was my last haul while picking up 20 rolls, all Mayflower Compact coins. I opened one roll and where it was a straight roll, I just took the rest back without opening them. Thought about going through them, looking for the "struck through" that has been reported but didn't feel it was worth it....  -makecents-

I went to a coin club meeting tonight and there were 3 bank wrapped rolls of DOI liberty bell quarters in the auction. One of them sold for $25 and the other 2 sold for $21. I guess it's cheaper than going to a casino.  |

Just an FYI.....6 are being auctioned off at GC (ending Sunday 8/23) ranging from MS-64 to MS-66 (66 labeled early find and sitting at $255.00 at this time). Let's see what they hammer at.

I just picked up 2 more boxes of mixed circulated quarters today. The design is definitely out in circulation more than they were earlier. I have almost a full roll of DOI after going through half of the first box. None of the July 4th, yet. I am determined to find one for just a quarter! "I like money. I can't believe you like money, too. We should hang out."

I agree, Roller42. Finding one yourself gives that particular coin a special value.

When (not if) I find one, I will probably donate it to the local coin club for auction. "I like money. I can't believe you like money, too. We should hang out."

i picked one of these quarters from a parking lot in front of a liquor store tonight; no privy, but at least I know they are now on the island.
