Hang in there, Dearborn. I have known a few friends who went through prostate cancer, the whole gamut from monitoring to surgery. I think you will do great, especially as you are in otherwise good health. My prayers are with you!

I just saw this post, John. I've been through the scare but came back negative. Best wishes and you will be in my prayers.

Both our parents are survivors as well.
One with lung cancer, the other with breast cancer, Keeping you in my thoughts..

I see it this way: There are 2 ways to tackle a cancer diagnosis: 1: Get treatment and pray and hope for the best 2: accept it and live life as you have been, get the best out of it that you can (and follow up with option 1. or 3: sell everything off check into a hospice and wait for the end being all depressed and lonely. Right now, I'm going for option 2 I'm not going to let in stop me in my tracks.  |

Thanks Jon, I'm doing well so far, been working on my front yard fence (albeit, very slowly) yes, I have pictures, I'll post them in your topic soon. In Jan I go back in for an MRI and blood test to check my PSA and we'll see how things are progressing (hopefully not - haha) at that point. |

Cancer runs in my family, so it weighs heavily on my mind. There was a time where my Dad when he was alive was really close to being diagnosed with it.
Prostate cancer, that is.
Also, as far as I have heard, isn't prostate cancer one of the most curable or treatable kinds?
