I just picked up 5 rolls of pennies from the local bank and while there wasn't a whole lot of interesting coins in those rolls (2 1950's Canadian Cents), the most interesting one was a 1979-D Memorial cent struck through a streaky planchet.

Not sure if there's any added value to this coin but it's pretty cool nevertheless.

I think thats called a woody, because of an improper copper alloy or something.

They are called "woodies" but no added value. I keep the ones that are real streaky and in above average condition because I think they look cool.

It's called a woodie and it is caused by an improperly mixed alloy. I think they do get sold from time to time but I don't think they are worth a lot. I keep all of the ones that I find. If you don't want it, keep to give to somebody who does or use it in a small trade.

By the way, that's a pretty nice looking coin considering its age.

I thought so too. I've never seen one in circulation with streaks this defined. Made up for the lack of interesting coins in these 5 rolls.
