Sorry about all the posts this weekend but I have been going through all of the LMC's I have just recently combed through and found a bunch of amazing pieces.
What in the world is this one?
I've ruled out construction cutting tools, had it must have been pressed to form this.

Well, I agree that it is PMD but I'm always curious about these oddities. It's a puzzle...

Well they arent from tin snips, I just tried.
The obverse and reverse markings line up with each other and I just looked under a microscope and the markings are doubled as well!

The rim seems like it is still intact, so has to be a pressed marking, either in the mint or after. is there any mechanism that would leave such a mark though?

PMD. Why does it matter how the coin got post mint damaged,even if you know it's still a damaged coin worth face value.IMHO,

Nothing in the mint would do this except maybe a disgruntled employee. I agree with the above. PMD...although it does look like a pie
