Got My Detector Yesterday!

Thought about it last year but finally pulled the trigger and looking to start treasure hunting! Got home from work and found a new ACE 250 on my doorstep, hastily put it together and did some searching in my backyard before it got dark out. I was surprised that I actually found a couple metal shards, foil and a 1988 Canadian cent! Hopefully I'll have a decent amount of time to get acquainted with this machine.

Out of curiosity, I decided to run it in my attic to see if I could find anything hiding in or behind the insulation. No luck, but it's not like I was expecting anything. Just curious to know if anyone has tried the same thing and what their experiences were. I found the electrical wiring (knob and tube) was probably causing a large amount of interference.
