Will You Be Collecting Canadian Pennies?

I always have.... Here in New York it is common to find Canadian coins in pocket change, especially pennies, I keep all the ones I find. That combined with having collected Lincolns from circulation since I was a kid, made it easy for me to start collecting Canadian cents. I don't think I would have started saving or collecting Canada cents had it not been for those two factors.

I enjoyed collecting Canada pennies from circulation so I started buying the earlier dates at coin shows and ebay. I also started to buy and collect the 1858-1920 Canada Large cents. And the pre confederate and colonial Penny Tokens as well. And have a few of the early Province pennies too.

I currently have a large zip lock bag full of the modern small cents I find in circulation. And for the last week I have been separating all 1920-1952 king George's and storing in a 2x2 vinyl page binder by date. I plan to continue collecting the series and will continue saving what ever I find in circulation.

Even in Hawaii I find Canadian cents all the time. I keep them all and bought a blank cent album to keep all of them in. I only go by date though. No varieties or errors.
