Coin first. I couldn't find its mintage. Any help? I would like to know if it's worth anything more than melt for a NCLT like this.

I'm not a very big fun of sterling. But this bar caught my eye. It's like a commemorative bar from the early 70s.

The serial is on the edge.

And some markings on another edge. The 1st mark represents the company. The 2nd mark is the date. I cannot figure out what the mark P means.

This is a product from a private Canadian mint which was bought buy the Franklin mint in the 70s, apparently. Probably you have seen such 1000 grain sterling bars by the Franklin mint on the bay from time to time.
