The voting just gets more and more difficult.

Gold....augustus1, Spanish mint denarius, beautiful Victory, cool mint.

Silver....dougsmit, Gordian III/Tranquillina, interesting historical marks and great combination of wear and detail (as usual).

Bronze....Biancasdad....Constantine I/two victories, fantastic detail and red desert patina.

These and several others all deserve Gold IMO but we gotta choose.

GOLD: TJscoins. Septimius Severus denarius nice bold Victory with detail on the wing

SILVER: Doug. Side. overall a cool coin, especially for the Seleucid countermark (which, I know, is not on the Nike/Victory side)

BRONZE: ValientKnight Valentinian AE3 very sharp and a good type to get Victory on, since it is a common type which is not expensive in nice condition

Tied for runnerup: jwharper. Aurelian. Remarkable frontal view of Victory with both wings visible.
Also runnerup: Dionysos. CONSTANTINOPOLIS. Nice sharp Victory on a very historical coin which I also like for not being expensive in excellent condition.

Let's face it! I like all the coins and it is hard to pick.

GOLD - AncientNoob's 2nd coin, victory crowning man faced bull
SILVER - Augustus' Constantinopolis comm, one of my favourite reverse designs.
BRONZE - Dionysis' second coin, Constantinopolis comm, as I say, one of my favourite reverse designs (in part because it looks like a giant victory stamping on a ship).

Honourable mention: Stevex6's first coin and many others, a toughly fought competition.

Ummm, maybe it's just me, but I don't think your point tally is correct?

However, it certainly could be me, for I've had a couple of wines ... "a couple" meaning that it's Friday night and I went to the bar and had a couple of "goodbye dinks" to a couple of summer students that we're trying to entice into joining our wonderful company, blah-blah-blah (I feel dirty) ... anyway ...

=> yah, I didn't get the same totals that you got, but again, my adition-skills my be hampered? ...

eccch, God => yah, I'm "that guy" ... hey, "my bad" if I'm incorrect with my math ...
