Gold Sovereigns in Australia & tax? Are they a coin? What is it and how does this "Quote below" relate to tax in Australia? The gold mining lobby saw to that when the CGT Bill passed through Parliament. Apparently, they were able to convince the politicians that investing in bullion was analogous to investing in shocks and scares on the shockmarket.
