Here is a copy of the reply: There does indeed appear to be a very minor split lower serif on RPM-007. Such minor splits are considered to be within mint tolerances and thus not considered for inclusion in the designation or listings. Thanks, James Wiles Report this Post to the Staff

He admits there is a split in the serif but I was surprised by his follow up: "Such minor splits are considered to be within mint tolerances and thus not considered for inclusion in the designation or listings." So I guess that means if you find a double die but it's only minor, it's not a double die. 😳 I play a lot of tennis and we have a saying "if the ball hits the line and it's 99.9% out, it's actually 100% in....hope you get my point.
