This just came to my mail box today. I know it is a bit outside the normal time frame for this board but I just had to share this exquisite rupee.

Shah Jahan (1628 - 1658)
AR Rupee, 1631, Multan, 22.7mm, 11.39g, ~45°, KM 227.8.
Obv: Kalima within circle.
Rev: Emperor's full name and titles.

It's a very nice coin, but it's beyond the 1600 cutoff date so it belongs in the World coin section.

I've seen the square Akbar rupees but I don't think I haven't seen any of the square jahans yet.
