Hope the pics portray the colors and background Images!(double denom?) The date seems to have some hanger-on-ers..(doubling?) What looks like scratches seem to be purposeful from a side view but couldn't capture a pic. The wt. is correct for this coin. Ideas?

I'm not sure what you're seeing. It may not be clear in the pics but to me it looks like it has environmental damage -- like it had something acidic on it.

This reminds me of a rusted die that made those indentations. The zinc surface looks like it should, so I don't think it was dipped in acid.
