Pete2226 Pillar of the Community United States 3339 Posts	Posted 02/01/2016 07:28 am The 8 and 0 do appear to have their width reduced, which is an indication of MD, but the "doubling" appears to be rounded and not shelf-like which is an indication of DD. There also appears to be notching at the base of the 1 and the 9 which is an indication of DD. Of course the photos are a bit fuzzy, so for me the jury is still out! Report this Post to the Staff

As seal notes the angle of the picture and lighting are playing tricks. Look at the DDO for the date you'll note the spread is different. But keep looking and good luck! Report this Post to the Staff

Whatever you can't change, is actually on the coin. That is what you want in your pictures. I can tell you this is not the Doubled Die for 1980. Report this Post to the Staff
