Hey guys,

I found this clipped cob metal detecting in South America last weekend. I believe it is a Philip IV 1/2 real cob from Bogota, circa 1621- 1665. Looks very similar to this one: https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=l...706&lot=1083

Can any cob experts confirm this? Thanks in advance!

I can't help you with the ID, but what a great find!

Living in the northern US I couldn't even dream of a find like that.

Congratulations!

Thanks, Paul. I'm originally from the Chicago area so I can relate. Lots of potential down here in South America.
