Anyone here collecting the sets or individual reverse proof silver Libertads?
If you are, how do you like them? Have you started with the 2015 year that kicked it off, did you just start with 2016 or do you have both years already?
I'm collecting the set itself. I missed the 2015 set but bought the 2016 set which of course features the one ounce silver proof and the reverse proof. I will certainly continue collecting this particular set as long as I can afford to do so.
The reverse proof coin is the best looking coin on the markets today. On top of that, it's a TINY, TINY mintage that will pay off in the long run. There's only 1500 2016 reverse proof Libertads...just a miniscule number.
If these things continue to grow, the early Libertad collectors will be sitting real pretty! Note: I do plan on trying to purchase the 2015 set.
No...just the basic 1 oz. bullion set. It's up to date and I would love to collect some proofs along the way but I spend enough each year for just the basics. Maybe someday! They sure are beautiful.
thanks for the opinions and thoughts guys. I am trying to make my mind up. I own like some American Eagle reverse proofs and I do like the finish, I can imagine this looks great.
I bought the 2015 Bankers set hoping it was a one time deal then found out a 2016 set had been issued but haven't got the disposable income to get that yet. I also think they have great investment potential.
