I use 10x loupe.

For closer look, 30x & 60X loupe with LED light works for me from Amazon.

In a jeweler's loupe you never need anything more than a 14x. You should own a 10x,12x and a 14x loupe. The best are Hastings Triplet but a doublet will do fine.

All depends what you're looking for.
The TPG graders use naked eye and a 3x if they want to see something closer.
More than that and you're looking for variety attributes.

Any loupe above a 14x will give you a distorted view. Get a 10x,12x and a 14x Hastings Triplet. A doublet will also do well and is less expensive.

I have several different ones. However, I never use most of them. I figure if I need anything more than about 5X, I don't need that coin that much.

B&L are very good. Hastings triplet is very good. 10&12&14x is good.$35 is a bit high but not bad.

I ended up ordering the BelOMO 10X on Amazon. I'll try it out and report back on my overall impression of this product.

10x is the best for almost all purposes.
That's what the TPGraders use.
