Watty New Member Canada 39 Posts	Posted 11/20/2017 11:02 am First Thing I Noticed On This Coin Was The Copper Coming Through On Both Sides So I Thought This Could Be A Missing Clad Layer Error But The Coins Weight is 2.29 Which Rules That Out. I Don't Believe It Can Be Just Normal Wear Either For The Fact The Obverse Sides Rim Is Fully Formed, Has A Sharpness To It And Sitting Higher Than Normal, While The Reverse Sides Rim Is Fully Flattened. Could This Be A Weak Strike Or Something Else, Or Is It Actually Just A Worn Coin? * Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/20/2017 2:25 pm Probably the reason the cladding appears thicker on the edge of the coin is because of was probably cut out of the stock in that direction when the blank was cut. The silver would extend more downwards.The bottom part of the doesn't show this because it was the bottom of the cut. The cladding is most likely the same thickness. Not an error.
