I have 3 of the 500 Whale Cluster Coins From The El Cazador Shipwreck. I acquired all 3 just this past few months. Thoughts On Grades of the three coins ? here is the first one.

There appears to be corrosion around ear & neck area. Of course it had been at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico for nearly 200 years. Also separating the " Whale Cluster " into individual coins must have been a monumental task.

This is certification # 4281358-035. Maybe the best of my 3.1st one ended in -020.Third is 4281358-058. On these, "whale Cluster" 8 Reales from Mexico City Mint, A 35 pound clump of coins found was so named, with a total of 500 slabbed from said cluster. I am happy to have 3 of them.

The reverse top right quadrant of the shield has lost most of the lion , otherwise, a really nice shipwreck coin.
