Tootallarious thank you for rotating it for me.
I just could not figure out how to when I was posting the photos.
I know with complete certainty that if this was cleaned it was not by my grandfather.
He was a stickler for originality.
I do know that the majority of the coins from his collection were tucked away since the 1950's from what I was told by my grandmother & from what he explained to me.
I just came across a Seated half dime that looks like it was struck yesterday.
I have quite a few I would really like to have graded & slabbed.
Honestly I have never had any grades before.
Is there a way to get a group graded for a better price.
From what I understand it isn't cheap.
But I'm coming across some
incredible coins that in my opinion should be graded.
I just opened a box of 1/2cent, Large one cent, & 2 cent coins, some in quite AMAZING condition.
I just wish I had more time to inventory types, dates, quantities etc.
Some of which I have 2 or 3 of each.
If anyone can share some knowledge of the best way to grade I would appreciate it.
I just really need to start going through everything & sorting but I must have at least a 500 coins to go through & God only knows what's in there.
My feeling is each coin needs to be carefully inspected before it is just assumed it is a regular coin with no errors etc.
