1972 Ike Dollar P Weighing 23 Grams

BarlowAdams Valued Member United States 69 Posts	Posted 11/15/2019 1:59 pm I have a rather unremarkable Ike dollar that consistently weighs in at 23 grams on numerous scales. Which is, as I understand it, above tolerance. The rim of the coin is also a slightly unusual color when compared with typical Ike's—sort of a brassy color rather than orange-copper. Is this a typical weight variance on such a large coin? I've heard people question 2.8, let alone 3. Report this Post to the Staff

The weight should be 22.68 grams for a clad "Ike" so 23 would be within tolerance (+/-0.53) if I have the correct information. I'm checking my numbers right now.
