halfamind Pillar of the Community United States 1506 Posts	Posted 04/10/2021 2:19 pm Since your 1982-D is pretty beat up, you can drop it on a hard surface, such as a wooden table or a countertop. You'll hear a difference between a coppery ring vs. the dull "thud" of a zinc cent. Test a few "spenders" for which you already know the composition.
