The saga for the 16-D continues. Here is another entry I considered and didn't pull the trigger on. Thoughts on grade and the coin overall?

I do love that toning. Given the pics, I could see MS65+

Very minor blemishes but not complaining.

Some tiny scuffs on the portrait might limit the grade slightly. The microscopic lines in the fields seem to mostly line up in radial patterns so they are probably as-struck flow lines. Bands are fully split and the toning adds to the already excellent eye appeal. Maybe the dark color at the upper obverse rim is a minor negative feature. I'd think MS-65FB at worst. Guess this one didn't quite measure up to NS collection standards?

these look like Trueview photos. but still stands out as a high end piece with minimal flaws. I like the strike on this one as its pretty consistent on both sides. you can see some the toning starting to move towards the black which I'm not fond of and its a little blotchy which is a negative for me especially if I was in this price range. really close to MS66FSB

Nice original coin. Not sure how many marks are on the holder and what is on the coin. MS-65FSB.
