Hey everyone. Curious what you think, I paid $40. The strike seems exceptional for a 1922. Also any ideas how to remove those dirt spots without dipping and harming the coin?
first, I'm not a huge fan of the Peace dollars due to strike issues and many have this cloudy look to them which is toning but it always seems to be blotchy. I think this is one reason I never collected them
i looked at a bunch of these graded by PCGS and NGC.
the coin overall does not match any graded MS65 coins I could find so I went to the 63's and 64's. I think the overall eye appeal as well as some scuffs on both sides may hold this one to a low MS63 and possibly MS62
Looks like lots of luster on both obv and rev... The mark accross the central devise on her cheek and some rub in the open field takes away from the eye appeal. The reverse seems to be clean of any major hits...but the lighting makes it hard to see some of the fine details... Based on these pics...MS-63 smat
