I recently inherited my grandfathers coin collection, which contains a lot of old Lincoln cents from 1910s to the 1960s. I am a new queen hobbyist and also new to the foreign. I came across this 1917 Lincoln cent which seems to have a misprint of some sort with the last T in the word trust. Does anyone have any thoughts or information on this? I will likely be posting more photos of interestingcoinsI've come across.thank you

Looks like a 1918, not 1917. Pretty sure the base of the T took a hit and moved the metal. Just damage to the coin.

Last T in trust is PMD as well as the date. Here is a link on foreign coins: https://en.numista.com/

Agree with all above. Nice '18 example--good album hole filler until better comes along.

Question to others. How can that be a PMD...the last "T" in trust is definitely not where it should be. I'm leaning more toward a Mint error. If that is a PMD, how would the "T" get moved like that? In fact, the whole word is a bit off.

Huntercoinz: You may find the " Cherry Pickers Guide to Lincoln Cents" a helpful reference for you. I prefer the book but, I believe that you can find a digital version on-line now.

Happy discoveries from Grandpa!
