Hi just wondering if this is a 1979 no fg half dollar? I know it's not a high grading coin but still thought it was kinda cool lookin lol

These are just over polished die issues. They were normal when the die was created. Same for the other devices that are missing. They were on the die, now polished off the die, to rescue a die to continue to use it.

I recently searched through 400 dollars of halves ( first time ever for me , the wife actually brought these home ) . All of the silver was gone of course so I made the best of it and put each one under the digital microscope. If I came across a coin like this is put it in the " maybe " pile ( I can see the very light markings on this photo ) . The " FG " initials should be clear but on the 1970's coins they really weren't that worried about it as far as I can tell. The 1980's coins look a lot cleaner ( from the ones I just looked at ) and I didn't find any " FG " problems after 1979.
