I'm VG Details. Notable dents by the date and 9:00 on the reverse. Rough surfaces. Most dealers would probably have this in the cull bin for spot+market premium.

I'm with Ericgreen. I think the coin has tad more meat than VG.

I'd guess $18-19 at today's prices.

Even common "stacker" Morgans are going for $25-$30 on eBay.

Something like this ought to be in a dealers commons & culls bin. They all have them. 1882 isn't a premium year and its well worn with damage. It's value is roughly pegged to having most of an ounce of silver + a couple bucks premium for its numismaticity. Many retailers are going to ask around $25-30 as silver hangs around $22/oz. As a buyer, a dealer may offer $17-20.

My guestimate was what a dealer would pay, not what it might be listed for on stupid eBay. What's it worth? What a dealer will pay. Simple.

A coin is worth what the highest marginal bidder is willing to pay. That marginal buyer is a dealer as often as silver provides the best investment return on your money. That's as close to never as you're gonna get.
