My first impression is that this poor cent spent some time in a corrosive substance and reduced the overall size and weight (as you mentioned a 2.36g from 3.11g).
If struck on a genuine silver dime planchet, it would look much sharper and definitely silver in appearance (and weigh about 2.5g), but yours still has that copper look in your second set of pictures. I would compare your 1950 cent to a genuine example of a cent struck on a dime blank and see how the compare.
