When I was a kid, and the GSA CC Morgan clearance were available for 30 bucks a coin, and that was too rich for my blood. Also, the 1972 doubled die Lincoln was a new thing, and I tried so hard to find one, but no luck. In those days a St Gaudens double eagle was about a hundred dollars, and that was out of my reach as well.
All that said, I do have a few nice coins, and even found a variety or two in unmarked slabs.
I really enjoy old US halves, esp Draped Busts and Seated Liberties.
I'm looking forward to engaging with you all. TY

Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
