Guys can you please help me with this, I don't know if you can see it from the pics but there is a definite notch or split lower serif, I have not been able to match it. in the last three days I have found anywhere from 30 to over 50 over these.

I don't believe this is a RPM, sorry. I think it's a defective die but wait for a pro to answer so you are sure.

It's from a defective punch. A great number of dies had that exact split on the lower serif. No premium for this one. Sorry.

It's from a bad punch as mentioned. Every 1979 D cent looks like this:-)
