1819 Over 8 Capped Bust Half Dollar / CBH (Small 9) Dilemma

Moe145 Pillar of the Community United States 8904 Posts	Posted 04/24/2010 10:30 am I recently acquired a second 1819 over 8 (small 9) that is a bit better than my previous one I have in the Dansco. BUT, the new one has a reverse circular gouge. Which coin should I display? I'm in a quandary... (No, not a laundry... C'mon focus!) I'll take a grade on these too, if you feel inclined. echizento Moderator United States 23731 Posts	Posted 04/24/2010 1:57 pm Interesting dilemma, I guess it depends on what you intend to do with the coin that is not in the Dansco. The condition of the newer coin is better than the second one, I'd say VF-35. But the gouge is a problem an IMO the coin is damaged and should not be put in the Album. I would use the second coin.
