I have went through a box and a half of Lincoln cents in the last week and have not found a thing! Not a single wheat, error, nothing. I stopped at the bank yesterday and decided to get a little variety for the nights hunting. I picked up $20 in cents $20 in nickels, and $20 in dimes. I occasionally search nickels but almost never dimes. I had finished the cents without a single good find , the nickels with a few few pre 50s (no wartime silver), and when I got to the second to last roll of dimes I was already feeling down on my luck. Then I opened the last dime roll, it contained: 2 misaligned dies, 27 1964 P+Ds and 11 other pre 1955. Not sure what silver is around but at 90% silver and 2.5 grams a coin, it was around 95 grams of silver alone, but some of the silver dimes were in AU+ condition. I've never even pulled silver, save a wartime nickel from a roll. Needless to say I was ecstatic! Seems like someone else's coin collection may have took a hit due to an knowledgeable family member perhaps?

glad to see your luck turning around. I don't search rolls that often but I have yet to find anything really nice. I usually look at cents and dimes. Hopefully someday soon I'll catch a break.

I know how you fill with the pennies. I'm far past half way through a bag ($50) of pennies, and I'm only at 2 wheaties. Even that is far below my already horible average, 1 in 7 rolls!

Sweet find on the dimes! About $1.35 apiece at spot.

Wow! Congratulations! Silver has such a great feel to it. I got my wife into searching coins occassionally, and she can now tell the difference between silver and clad without looking at the date(dost make a husband proud!). :-)

I think for most people, 1 silver dime per box is about average. 38 in a box/roll is ridiculous! Awesome find!
