KoinKid Valued Member United States 75 Posts	Posted 02/15/2011 10:06 pm I inherited these from my grandpa and he told me I needed to hang on to them because they could be worth something someday. Ive looked through my Red Book and other various price guides and it seems like the price on these puppies varies alot. I was just curious as to what you fellow coin collectors might graded these two coins. The surface issues, environmental, on #2 might cause it to be valued as a lower grade, say the equivalent of a Fine or VF. That said, #2 does appear to have a repunched date which would add a modest amount to its value; thus, XF overall. Just my Two Cents worth ... P.S. - These Civil War era coins were the first to mention God ... historic and intrinsic value therein! Report this Post to the Staff
