There are all types of questions that can come out of this, but here are just a few: 1. The Lady's use of a cap. 2. The lady's description of 'liberty' being on all coins. 3. Its interesting about when 'In God We Trust' was started, the Civil War era. It was shortly after the second world war that it was made the US offical motto. I am intrigued with the Phrygian cap. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 08/07/2012 12:16 pm E Pluribus Unum was our official motto from the 1790's until 1955 when In God We Trust was adopted. But I'm not sure if IGWT replaced the old motto or is in addition to it (two official mottos). Especially since the older motto was never discontinued. Report this Post to the Staff
