Hi Everyone,

I am new to this site and to coins in general. I am buying a coin set for my Father In-Law (he is not an avid collector). He has wanted the 1946 5 Coin set with the Walking half dollar for some time now.

He usually goes to littleton but I have seen many reviews stating that while reputable, they can be overpriced. Can anyone comment on centercoin.com? Littleton has the set for $64.99 and Centercoin.com has it for $32. I don't mind paying what I need to pay for the set, I just don't want to over pay.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

When you start talking about 1946 price is based on condition

5 coin set could be proof or uncirculated or circulated? do you want all 5 coins to have the same mint mark?
your question leaves to many other questions to answer with any kind of fact.
Yes Littleton is usually a little over priced. Coin Center I have never dealt with

I've never dealt with centercoin.com - but - $32 would be about what a year set circulated would sell for. I also haven't looked to see what Littleton is listing, but I am guessing they are listing a mint set which would be in the $65 range.
