We go through that hoop every once in awhile when a " Dryer Coin" shows up in a post. Noone spoons nickels. If they did, the end product wouldn't fit on a human finger. Kinda thought the dryer theory was probably correct but it did make me remember "spooning" I'll probably lose a few nickels in the dryer before I go through the trouble of making a ring but that is an interesting link. much appreciated.
