I never paid attention to currency and serial numbers until joining the forum. Now my wife and I both look and these are recent finds. Are they a repeater and radar? And do they have any value above a buck?

Thx Jim

I don't have a note book to give you a value on them but they are a repeater and a radar. Very nice finds!

Excellent finds! I get a kick out of collecting cool serial numbers; I've never found a radar note.

A radar is when the second half of the serial number mirrors the first half. The bottom note in the picture above is a radar. As an example, this would be a radar:

13544531

Hope that helps

G'day 1964S,
they're called "RADAR", because the word radar is the same backwards as forwards.
Or, to use a more technical, but less popular term, "Palindromic".

still looking for one ...
