Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 08/10/2017 12:56 pm to the family! What you see is the result of the zinc core being exposed to environment (air, moisture). This causes "zinc rot", a corrosive "plating bubble" to form. They pop like zits exposing more of the insides. Usually caused by "split plating" where the thin copper plating gets stretched/torn upon striking or by material on core before plating. Report this Post to the Staff

Just a mark on the coin. PSD If it were a device, then it would be raised if on the fields. No way it could be a device as that area is deep into the die.
