1971 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Machine Double, LDS, And Rust, Or Something Else?

truman1404 Valued Member United States 284 Posts	Posted 02/27/2019 5:34 pm Anyone know what caused the doubling on this coin? On the 7 in the date there is MD under the horizontal bar of the 7 and in the 9. There is also another raised line above the horizontal bar in the 7. There are also raised marks above the T & Y in liberty and the 9 in the date. In some places it looks like the marks left from a rusted die, it also looks like it might be a Late Die State as well. I really just wanted to learn what caused the doubling on this one. Thanks Mitch Report this Post to the Staff
