1904 Indian Head Penny With Odd Obverse

tcmcoin14 New Member United States 14 Posts	Posted 09/06/2020 10:01 am Morning everyone! I have this 1904 Indian Head cent that we came across that has something weird on the obverse of it. Not sure what this is, but I'm thinking its from the mint because as you see in the photos the damage, or whatever it is, goes under the headdress and the letters. It almost looks like it should be some kind of design or shape, but I can't make it out, esp over United States. Any help/thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated! Report this Post to the Staff

Put it in a small bowl of acetone and "gently" "very gently" wipe it with a saturated Q-Tip.
