Greek 5 Drachma.

It's made of cupro-nickel, not silver.

Obverse shows the last King of Greece, King Constantine. The country is now a republic and the drachma was replaced by the Euro in 2002.

Most common coin in pocket change when I was in Salonica (Thessalonica in the Bible) for a few weeks, way back in 1970.
Brings back quire a few good memories for me!

I was also in Pella not long after that.
Pella was location of the mint where my avatar coin was struck.
