Great intro (even if it took you a decade to write) 
I hear ya! but - you know world currency is pretty reasonably priced. I've heard this is especially the case in the USA where most collectors don't give it a 2nd thought. I've seen some American collectors post some beauties that they got for next to nothing at their LCS. I branched into it 2 years ago (about the time I joined CCF) & haven't looked back. & BTW we play nice over there on that forum...
