Mrdrae Valued Member United States 63 Posts	Posted 04/02/2021 7:08 pm Just a quick question for an opinion, no pictures. Would you keep all wheat pennies regardless of the damage? I have a 1958 D penny but it has a circle ground in around the top of the head and the body of Lincoln. Report this Post to the Staff

Rothery Pillar of the Community 2145 Posts	Posted 04/02/2021 7:19 pm Guess that would be personal preference - I keep all damaged wheats in a bag marked "CULLS" - never know if you'll be able to use them for a metal sculpture, cleaning experiments, etc..... Report this Post to the Staff

ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19302 Posts	Posted 04/02/2021 9:13 pm I hoard wheat cents, but I do unload any that are cull (by my standards). For me, culls include coins which are bent, burned/partially melted, show acid damage, have unreadable dates, are caked with corrosion, etc., etc. I do keep those which are damaged in an interesting way.
